Side Plate Kit for RED KOMODO & KOMODO-X

This side plate kit for the RED KOMODO® & KOMODO-X includes both left & right side-plates which attach to the Komodo. Together they provide a variety of secure mounting and rigging points for accessories like handles and rod mounts.

• Features 3x 3/8″ & 2x 1/4″ accessory mounts with helicoils.
• Integrated NATO rail with safety stops.
• Compatible with RED KOMODO & KOMODO-X.
• Helicoils to prevent threads from stripping and loosening.
• Mounting points for lens adaptor supports – but requires top plate to fully use the adapter supports.

Helicoil & NATO

When it comes to fixing, you can choose from threaded points or the NATO rail. All threaded points are stainless-steel helicoiled for added strength. Helicoil fittings are crucial to prevent thread stripping or binding. An important factor to consider when constantly changing rig configurations.

Strength & Lightness

Each section of this Side Plate Kit is CNC cut from high-grade aluminium alloy billet, which is then hard anodised for extra durability. The result is highly resilient component, which is also extremely light-weight at only 35 grams each. The low-profile design is also a handy feature when creating compact camera builds.

LeftField KOMODO Adapter Supports

The side plates feature mounting point for our range of lens adapter supports for the RED KOMODO. These supports secure mount adapters to the camera, removing any unwelcome flex or play in the mount.To use the supports, you will need to also either the standard top rail or run/stop top rail. The adapter supports are not compatible with the RED KOMODO-X.
