HDSLR for Photographers
This is an intermediate to advanced level workshop for those who already have a lot of experience with DSLR photography but who want to find out about using their cameras for video.
Who should attend
- Individuals who have photography knowledge & want to migrate to or explore HDSLR filmmaking
- Photographers who want to pursue videography on the HDSLR Platform
- Serious photography hobbyists who want to pursue videography on the HDSLR Platform
Equipment & Requirements
- Possess at least intermediate to advanced photography experience
- Own a Canon DSLR (60D, 7D or 5D) & lens
- Professional HDSLR equipment provided
A significant part of this workshop involves outdoor shooting. Locations will be within walking distance of AV8 Media . As such,participants should dress comfortably and be prepared to carry their own equipment. With Singapore's weather being what it is,they should also be prepared for wet weather (raincoat,umbrella etc)

2nd Day - 1/2 day outdoor shoot & 1/2 day review

About the Instructor
Lim Teck Siang has been active in the local film industry for several years, taking on a multitude of roles in pursuit of his passion for film. His early professional experience includes working on feature films such as Kelvin Tong’s 'Kidnapper', Royston Tan’s ‘Getai’ double-bill '881' and '12 Lotus', on top of numerous commercials, short films, and print advertisements.
At the 23rd Singapore International Film Festival in 2010, his camerawork for ‘Mu Dan' was awarded Best Cinematography (Short Film Category) at the Silver Screen Awards. 'Mu Dan' also garnered Best Performance. 'Promises In December', which won the Best Film and Best Director awards, was also lensed by Teck Siang.
He has worked with with a variety of formats including film,and the RED One and is an early adopter of the HDSLR,having shot documentaries, short films, corporate work and commercials on the Canon 5D/7D.His showreel can be seen at http://framesinmotion.wordpress.com/showreel-2009/
