The Carbon engine is a universal transcoding platform with a wide range of format support from standard definition to high definition, from DV to MPEG2, PAL to NTSC, for broadcast, IPTV and for web; Carbon products have all the capabilities and compatibilities you need for your facility or network.

The Graphite MPEG Grid Encoder is a stand alone desktop encoder which encodes DirectShow®, AVI or QuickTime® files into MPEG-compliant streams utilizing available CPU resources in the production environment.

The Graphite MPEG Grid Encoder lets you decide how many CPUs to dedicate to your encoding tasks; just the CPUs in your system or more CPUs across your network.
