The new RODE NTG-2 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone, designed for professional applications within the film, video, television and production industries.
The NTG-2 provides a balanced low impedance output stage and operates either from an internal 1.5 V battery (AA) or 48 V to the P48 standard. A wide bandwidth and controlled polar response coupled with low noise SMT electronics, makes the NTG-2 the perfect choice for film, video engineering and voice-over work. The NTG-2 is extremely lightweight making it ideal for mounting directly to video cameras or on boom poles.
The NTG-2 comes complete with mount and windshield.The windscreen effectively suppresses wind noise when recording outdoors in moderate conditions.
VideoMic
DVCam Directional Condenser Microphone
The RØDE VideoMic is a professional grade shotgun microphone. Based on the latest ‘Film industry’ technology, the VideoMic is designed specifically for use with high quality Digital Video Cameras.
The microphone exhibits low noise and an unusually wide bandwidth for its size. It is ultra lightweight, yet rugged due to it’s ABS construction. The VideoMic is powered by a standard 9 V battery and offers a Low Battery LED status indicator and a switchable high pass filter to reduce unwanted low frequency rumble.
The VideoMic attaches to any Camcorder that has the standard camera-shoe fitting and utilizes a stereo mini jack for audio output.
Stereo VideoMic

This product, like the VideoMic (VM), now the world’s biggest selling on camera shotgun microphone, is also destined to become an Industry standard and not only offers the same sound quality & performance as it’s predecessor, but also meets the industry demand for stereo recording.
Now videographers may use true ‘studio’ stereo recording techniques in the field with ease. The X/Y configuration enables the SVM to capture the true ambience of the recording space, while still offering a high level of rear rejection and low noise.
Fitted with a shoe mount, the SVM has the same low noise circuit design as the VM. The SVM offers 9V battery operation, an LED battery status indicator, a high pass filter switch, and a -10dB pad switch which allows for the mic to be used on most cameras with perfect level control.
You can also use the SVM as a remote mic on a stand, or a RØDE boom pole (Optional Accessory), which truly makes this versatile product well suited for all video applications including Electronic News Gathering (ENG), Weddings, Sports Events & Interviews.
BoomPole
Precision Machined 3 m Aluminium Boom Pole
Machined from high grade aluminium, the boom pole is designed for applications where a 3m extension pole for shotgun microphones is required.
Attaches to the SM3 Shock Mount, RM5 Stand Mount (NT5, NTG-1 & -NTG-2) and VideoMic via its 3/8” thread or any standard 3/8” threaded fitting. ( Length: 0.84 m ~ 3 m or 33” ~ 10’)
