INTRODUCING CINEDECK
EXTREME™
Cinedeck EXTREME is the
world’s first and only camera-mountable recording, monitoring, and
playback device. Cinedeck EXTREME captures to high-definition
formats, including uncompressed high definition recording, Apple
ProRes, Avid DNxHD, and CineForm.
It
is an extremely capable, upgradeable, highly rugged, portable,
direct-to-disk, cinema-grade HD/2K video recorder designed and built by
cinematographers for cinematographers.
It is compatible with
HDMI/HD-SDI/LAN cameras and records to Uncompressed 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 HD,
Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD, and “Visually Perfect” CineForm™ Digital
Intermediate files in MOV format via HDMI and single/dual link HD-SDI.
It
has a built-in 7” high-res preview/focus/playback monitor and physical
button interface for all commonly used functions. Record settings and
playback transport are accessed via touch screen interface.

constraints of traditional high-quality recording gear or the quality
limitations of existing portable recording solutions.
MONITOR:
Monitor
video realtime, both on and offboard while using the onscreen edge
focus, clipping, waveform, scopes and histogram to seize perfect control
of your recording. Monitor audio via onboard headphone jack while
toggling between audio inputs or listen to a mix of all inputs while
simultaneously viewing the on-screen recording level display.
RECORD:
Cinedeck
EXTREME captures edit-ready Uncompressed 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 HD, Apple
ProeRes, Avid DNxHD, and CineForm Digital Intermediates in MOV format
via HD-SDI or HDMI. Records to standard removable laptop SSD for maximum
compatibility/reliability and cost-effectiveness.
REVIEW:
Play
back your shots instantly via full-featured vtr-style transport
controls onscreen. Realtime upconvert/downconvert between more than a
dozen resolution/framerate combinations including SD

Stereoscopic 3D Recording and Playback
The Cinedeck Stereo Option adds dual camera monitoring, capture, and playback to the award-winning Cinedeck EXTREME, delivering highly mobile stereoscopic 3D capabilities to production crews of all sizes. Now cinematographers will have the most convenient 3D capture and playback visualization tool available on set - complete with full HD-SDI or HDMI monitoring, eliminating the need for redundant equipment. Cinedeck EXTREME’s new Stereo Option is built on CineForm’s award-winning Neo 3D and First Light stereoscopic production technology.
