Carbon Agent - Easy Expansion
Rhozet Carbon Agents enhance the conversion power of your Carbon Server. Create or expand a Farm by adding additional Carbon Agents as you need them for increased performance and the ability to handle more concurrent conversion tasks. Carbon Agents make it easy to scale your Carbon Server-based Farm to meet your transcoding demands while maintaining easy centralized management.
Saves space and time
Rhozet Carbon Agents can be hosted on 1-U dual CPU rack mount machines or even blade servers, allowing you to add transcoding power with little requirements in your facility and modest price tags attached to it. Because the process is very easy, often times an operator might decide to add more transcoding power for on-demand transcoding requests rather than investing in storage and lengthy archive transcoding sessions.
Simplicity
Virtually no changes are required in your transcoding front-end facility. The agent will register itself with the server without any user input required. You experience no change – besides greater overall performance. Each agent provides a certain number of transcoding "slots" to the transcoding engine, adding the ability to execute more jobs in parallel without impact on other transcoding sessions. Archive transcoding will be accelerated and more time critical, high priority encoding tasks can be performed simultaneously.
Grows with you
The server/agent architecture is a prime example of scalability. Virtually no limit is set to the number of agents – if you require for example 100 parallel encoding sessions or a set number of transcoded archive files per day to meet customer deadlines, the Carbon Farm architecture allows you to assemble power equal to your requirements.
